Equipment & Services International, LLC. – ESI, LLC – was established in April of 2001, in the state of Rhode Island. The creation of the company was triggered by the closing of the Boston offices of the old New England Trawler Equipment Co., shortly after it was acquired by Jered Industries, Inc. As of February 2006, a new engineering and sales office has been opened. The new premises are located at 381 Governors Hwy, South Windsor, CT. The technical knowledge and experience accumulated during years of service at New England Trawler have been put to work in this new company. ESI is located in East Greenwich, RI, at 5810 Post Rd, where it shares offices and facilities with The Ideal Windlass Co., a company that also specializes in the manufacturing of deck equipment for pleasure boats and yachts. Resources, engineering and experience are shared and put to work together, allowing us to offer a comprehensive range of quality deck machinery. These equipment includes Towing Winches, Bow/Escort Winches, Mooring Winches, Anchor Winches, Windlasses and Capstans. We have entered into several joint ventures with other workshops and manufacturers with extensive experience in the manufacturing of deck machinery, that are able to efficiently produce equipment based on our drawings, which greatly enhances production capabilities. ESI has also joint efforts with an experienced crane manufacturer, which allows us to offer a complete and comprehensive range of true marine cranes of any configuration – fixed boom, telescopic boom, articulated boom, folding type as well as combinations of the above. Special attention by our engineering and sales team is paid to the specifications and details of the project, in order to ensure that the equipment being built fulfills each and everyone of the requirements demanded by the particular application. Our equipment is offered as complete packages, including the electric controls and/or the hydraulic power units and controls. Technical & maintenance manuals for the equipment that we supply are also produced in house by our technical staff. In the industrial sector, we supply engineered drive systems for different industries for the North American market. These drive units are designed and produced by Echesa, S.A to meet the specific requirements of each application. The drives can be supplied complete including the cooling system. We also supply specialized loose gearing to any specification and quality - above AGMA 12 or DIN 5 - to the most demanding US based gear users. Other services provided include plasma cutting, wire EDM, CNC,sinker EDM, Small Hole EDM and laser cutting.
